Over the past 10 years, the AOP Regional Science Fair (AOP) has been known as one of the premier regional fairs for South Carolina. We have showcased some of our community’s next great minds. We have sent over 15 students and 10 teachers to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fairs held around the United States and many of our students have been recognized for their efforts with International awards.

Unfortunately, the AOP Regional Science Fair will not be held in 2009. The past director has left that position, and our search for another director has not been successful. Without a director and with budget challenges at our local school districts, the planning and funding support is not there to be successful in 2009. However, several Districts are planning additional fairs for their students to showcase their work.

The success of our AOP Regional Science Fairs has been possible because of your support or your company’s generosity and for that we THANK YOU. We will continue our search for a director, and planning will begin early next year for a 2010 AOP Regional Science Fair. We look forward to your continued support in 2010.
